ABOUT UNIVERSITY

BAU International University Faculty of Medicine founded in 2015, BAU International University, Batumi is a private higher education institution located in the large town of Batumi (population range of 50,000-249,999 inhabitants), Adjara. Officially accredited and/or recognized by the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport of Georgia, BAU International University, Batumi is a coeducational higher education institution. Why BAU Batumi?

BAU International University, Batumi is a university within the BAU Global Network which is comprised of higher educational institutions throughout the world. Thus, our students have unique opportunities to expand their knowledge and experience on a global scale.
BAU International University, Batumi is located in the same building as a new International University Hospital. The hospital itself has been constructed according to JCI standards and is equipped with up-to-date facilities. This will enable us to provide the best education for the medical students, as they will receive clinical experience from the first year of their education.
American model educational program corresponds to international standards, lasts for six years and is conducted in the English language. During studies the students will also take USMLE (United States Medical Licensing Examination) course.
Professors invited from Bahcesehir (Istanbul) University and an affiliated clinic Medical Park as well as from different Georgian universities lead the teaching process at BAU International University, Batumi. In addition, the university periodically hosts famous doctors from Turkey who hold public lectures for students.
BAU International University, Batumi itself is a modern facility that features the latest technologies, laboratories and classrooms.
University students have access to a physical library inside the university building and also to one of the richest electronic libraries in the world, Bahcesehir University Istanbul Library.

About the Faculty

BAU International University, Batumi offers American model one-cycle higher educational program "Medicine" that corresponds to international standards and is conducted in the English language. The university features "anatomy theatre", anatomy laboratory for cadavers, laboratories for teaching histology, microbiology, molecular genetics and biochemistry and the centre of “clinical skills”. The teaching process is led in a partnership with Bahcesehir (Istanbul) University and a network of hospitals "Medical Park" incorporating dozens of hospitals around Turkey.
The aim of the educational program is to equip students with theoretical knowledge as well as with proper clinical skills that will prepare them for their future medical career. The educational program lasts for six years and leads to the qualification of Medical Doctor.
